Powerfully Integrated Management Consulting
Strategy That Rocks is a management consulting firm that help entrepreneurial companies launch, grow, deal with challenges and prepare for sale. Our approach is integrated across disciplines. So, in every engagement, we are considering finance, operations, marketing, competitive issues, technological issues, economic issues, industry trends, capital needs and allocation, human resources and more. Some people refer to our approach as "an inch deep and a mile wide." Whatever you call our approach, however, it always depends on seeing the big picture and being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with experts in each individual discipline that is crucial to a business' success.
Doug Levinson, the Principal of Strategy That Rocks, has undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Biological Psychology (having studied at U.C. Berkeley, Oxford University, Stanford University, USC (J.D.) and U.C.L.A. (M.B.A.))
Doug has also been an adjunct professor, serving on the business faculty at U.C.L.A. and both the both business and law faculties at USC and U.C. Berkeley. He has served as an Education Consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank. Doug is also the author of 75-25, 3/4 of an M.B.A., 1/4 Of The Grief (Prostar Publications, 2007), which is used by businesses, individuals and in several top-20 law schools.
Perhaps most importantly, Doug leverages close, long-term relationships with dozens of "top drawer" professionals, allowing Strategy That Rocks to assemble the best possible team to meet each client's specific and individual needs.
What We Do
We get asked this question ALL THE TIME. And, you'd think that by now, we'd be good at answering that question with some pithy response. But, the "real answer (thought not one that people often find satisfying) is "It depends."
Of course, broadly speaking, strategic planning means figuring out what to do NEXT — attracting, allocating and leveraging resources and overcoming challenges, all in the most effective, efficient, prompt, sustainable way.
"Doing" strategy means coming up to speed extremely quickly and, then, devising and executing a series of steps to achieve a desired outcome. What we do is help our clients figure out what a"home run” would look like and, then, do EVERYTHING NECESSARY, to help them "hit it."
But, maybe the best way we can answer this question is to let our clients and colleagues speak for themselves. So, please take a look at our testimonials.
